Yasmine Tanwidjaja-Pajares better known by her stage name Yasmine Tanres, is a British born Spanish and Indonesian/ Chinese TV host, actress, commercial model and multi-media skilled reporter with foreign language capabilities in German, Spanish and French.
Yasmine is the main News Anchor of Long Beach Local News and is integral as Creative Director, Assignment Editor, Producer, Writer, Reporter, and Spokesperson on behalf of the News Team.
Yasmine is also an Entertainment host for a variety of platforms in Los Angeles, such as Afterbuzz TV– the ESPN talk for TV shows and film, founded by Emmy-award winning host, Maria Menounos and her husband Keven Undergaro. She is also part of Fab TV– a network that covers awards, galas, red carpet events and press junkets. She is a correspondent host for PopFuzion TV– a digital pop culture show broadcast nationally on Spectrum and AT&T Universe that highlights celebrities and their foundations. Additionally, she is a host for Amazon’s upcoming show, Beverly Hills Social. She’s also the co-creator, producer and host of “Talking Ted Talks”, a weekly live video streaming podcast discussing the world’s best and most groundbreaking TED Talks, joined by the speaker or special guests affiliated with the topic. Besides this, she is the moderator for Stratas Corp Media Group entertainment summits and co-hosts “The Culture of Business” podcast show alongside CEO and Founder of Stratas Corp, Romeo Spino.
Yasmine started her TV career as part of the UK’s first youth-led news-style TV show, London360, owned by Media Trust and supported by the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Time Warner. There she presented, produced, self-shot, directed and edited some of the most compelling events of diverse communities in London that deserved more media coverage. Within 6 months she covered more than 13 news features with pieces that garnered top celebrity attention, and was hailed by the national newspaper and online magazine ‘The Asian Today’ as the reporter to look out for.
She has interviewed an array of notable celebrities at red carpet events and press junkets, such as award-winning actor Clive Owen, international music artists Emeli Sandé and Grammy award-winning music producer Melo-X. She further challenged the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, about what he would do to protect women in the creative industry and spoke to the Mayor of Long Beach, Robert Garcia on the importance of providing members of the public free access to otherwise restricted sports events.
Yasmine completed an Entertainment Certificate at UCLA and obtained a German Studies (BA) Bachelor Degree at King’s College London, whereby she has been notably recognized by the International Leaders of the King’s College London (KCL) Alumni Community, received gold in the Professional Leadership & Skills Award Scheme, and is Board Member of Philanthropy for KCL Alumni in Los Angeles.Whilst studying she felt the need to know about communities living in poverty and travelled to Africa as an Orphanage Assistant and to India to support the local Tibetan refugee community. In both places she captured content to create awareness of some of the cultural norms that are not highlighted in mainstream media. Consequently, what has fuelled her passion in story-telling and news reporting is the culturally-rich environment she has grown up in from an early age in various parts of the world and her working in various communities.
